Today, companies are looking for interoperability that goes beyond the need for CAD translations in a (B-Rep) Boundary Representation of 3D models. Our innovative Feature Based technology gives companies the freedom to optimize human recources within MCAD environments and to convert legacy data without loosing product knowledge and time.

The 3DEvolution Feature Based kernel enables the representation of all feature types used by today’s CAD systems. Native interfaces extract the construction history and parametric directly from the binary data, without requiring access to a license of the source CAD system.

By importing binary CAD data, the complete information about the history parametric can be retrieved. This technology also accelerates the reading process and enhances the flexibility for the user. A further highlight of 3DEvolution Feature Based is the history optimization taking full account of the feature types available in the target system.

The creation process is completely operated, controlled and logged by 3DEvolution Feature Based and its Plug-ins in the target CAD system. Even when considering complex models, the conversion is accomplished within a few minutes. Also, if parametric models contain skins for surface split operations or imported solids as starting geometries, the proven healing functions provide an optimal basis for subsequent operations.

The integrated compare function of the resulting geometry can be compared to the source model. Discrepancies are documented through a log file and highlighted lightweight 3DEvolution Viewer format.

The Advanced Compare model comparision indicates and displays all variances between different 3D Geometries reliable and fast.
