You will be amazed to discover that with Blacksmith3D you can now paint across UV seams as if they didn't exist! The 3D paint feature is extremely powerful, and allows you to paint textures directly onto 3D objects instead of going back and forth between your 2D paint and 3D modeling applications.

Blacksmith3D-Morph functionality utilizes Soft Selections allowing you to deform objects in a very intuitive way. Using the analogy of a blacksmith, Blacksmith3D-Morph allows you to "heat up" and "deform" objects in a very intuitive way. The hotter portions of the object deform the most and the cooler parts deform the least. In this way, you can easily create smooth and continuous morphs, with little effort.

New to the Blacksmith3D tool set is Blacksmith3D-Modeler. The modeler has been designed for adding detail to existing 3D objects with ease. The unique thing about Blacksmith3D-Modeler is that each modeling operation preserves the existing morph targets. So if you have a character with 100's of facial morphs, and you want to make some geometric changes to the mesh, then the morph targets will be adjusted automatically!

Software Compatibility:
Blacksmith3D is compatible with Max, Maya, Lightwave, Cinema 4D, Softimage, Photoshop, Poser; or any applications that can import and export .obj files and use standard texture maps (jpg, png, etc.).
Minimum recommended operating systems are;
Windows XP (Yes, the software is Vista compatible)
Mac OS 10.3 or greater.

Here we provide a general guideline for the minimum hardware requirements. The true requirements will depend upon the nature of your projects (low vs. high resolution models and maps) and your personal expectations as far as performance is concerned.
